‘Red’ Stripe Sampler

I’ve framed my finished Red Stripe Sampler. I’ve been working on this, on and off, for quite some time, there’s only so much couch stitching this girl can do but I’m so pleased with the finished effect. It felt lovely, texturally to stitch too, it was almost too nice to stick behind glass (and actually I very rarely frame my embroideries) but I just had a feeling that unprotected, this was going to gather dust too quickly. Also, rectangular embroideries don’t exactly call for being displayed in hoops.

I photographed this in the garden, with the best of bad light but this is where it will actually go.
